In North Carolina, raw milk can’t be sold directly for people to drink. A herd share is a legal way for families to receive raw milk by owning a small share of the dairy herd.
When you purchase a herd share, you’re buying an ownership interest in the herd and paying us to care for the animals and handle the daily milking. As a herd share owner, you’re entitled to receive a portion of the milk produced by the herd each week.
